Master of Ceremonies

When Chemène was in primary school, she wanted nothing more than to be the lead in a school play – she auditioned for the roles of Alice in Alice in Wonderland, The Grinch in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and the Major-General in The Pirates of Penzance. She won none of these roles. Instead, each time, she was assigned as the narrator. Although Chemène enjoyed narrating, she wrongly assumed that being the narrator meant she was not good enough to play a lead part in the story. But as an adult, she realised what a gift it was to narrate peoples’ stories and help them come to life.

Today, as an accomplished MC and moderator, Chemène is renowned for bringing out the ‘story’ of each conference or special event she MCs – to put speakers at ease, synthesise key themes and maintain flow – all while keeping the event on task and on time.

Whether in-person, online or hybrid, organisations regularly engage Chemène to MC the same event, year after year.
