Training & Facilitation

What makes Chemène different?

Chemène draws on her 40+ years of experience as an elite sports coach, coach mentor and educator.

3 valuable lessons that Chemène incorporates into her programs and workshops:

Lesson 1:
Focus on performance

Learning is only valuable if it can be used when it matters. Chemène draws on her experience as an elite athlete to identify what drives peak performance at critical moments. Her approach goes beyond short-term results, focusing instead on factors that contribute to lasting impact – factors like motivation, mindset, environment, resources, opportunities and more.

Chemène incorporates principles of neuroscience into her programs and workshops, helping participants to remember and use what they learn. She encourages people to think beyond learning, to performance.

Lesson 2:
Tailor for groups, personalise for you

Each person’s learning journey begins from a unique starting point. Some people need explicit instruction, whereas others need a chance to give it a go. Some people may be excited about learning something new, whereas others may feel ambivalent.

Chemene has learned to ‘listen first’ – to identify needs, then adapt her approach to help individuals and teams make meaningful progress.

Lesson 3:
Know when to get out of the way

Preaching ain’t teaching. Numerous studies highlight the negative effects of educators who talk too much. Here is one.

Chemène’s programs and workshops are dense with interaction and targeted activities that promote learning and progress.
